Sara Bareilles for Glee

Hey guys so I have a new project/idea for the site. I don't know how many of you watch Glee, but I think Sara Bareilles would be a FABULOUS guest star on Glee! She definitely would fit right in, especially with her NOH8 campaign. Even if she wasn't on, maybe just her music could be featured. When I met her in April, one of the questions I asked was would you want your music on glee? and she was so into that idea. she was talking about how she met all of the cast at the Easter Egg Hunt for the President. I mean, seriously, either her physically or any of her songs would be GREAT on the show.  anybody wanna help me out? maybe I can make a Facebook/twitter page or we can go crazy and tweet the people on glee... probably it would be better to tweet the producers first since the cast members have little say in the songs they choose. Or if you guys were really into this, we could even make a video if you want. thoughts anyone? sorry this post was so long. haha lots to say (: excited!

Thank you for sharing your idea Rebecca. I love it when sarabfans have new project ideas like that.
I have never watched Glee, but I heard it was great (especially from my sister who keeps telling me that).

I think it is a really good idea! It would be hard to do, but we can try. I mean, stuff like that is really difficult to do, judging from the "Bareilles For SNL" project. Producers don't see their mentions on Twitter. Or maybe they see it, they just don't want to reply. BUT I think we should try and see ! We have nothing to loose.

So who's in ?

This is an AWESOME idea. :) I watch Glee almost every week, and I must say I'm surprised that not even one song of Sara's has made it on the show.  Her songs are so easy to relate to, it's hard to see why she hasn't been included yet.  While I would absolutely love to see Sara on SNL, I think glee would be a better place to start.  Seeing who has been on SNL recently makes you see that the people who host and/or perform on the show are ones that are truly "in the spotlight." So it makes sense that they would have people like Katy Perry and Taylor Swift who are literally everywhere.  But with Glee, it's all about the music, so I think producers would be more willing to listen if we wanted to advocate for Sara and her music to be on the show.  I'm thinking someone like Ryan Murphy (the creator of the show) would be the one to try and get a hold of if we want this to happen.  Great idea Rebecca!

glad you guys love the idea!! do you think we should start by petitioning for one of her songs? i had a few thoughts. it's always better to have a story line in mind. so here they are 

Love Song- pretty much any character could sing this... Finn to Rachel, Rachel to Finn, Blaine to that Sebastian guy who can't get the picture that Blaine likes Kurt, Mercedes to Sam, anyone, it would be a good plot for someone to sing it who really doesn't like the person they are signing it too haha 

King of Anything- someone could sing this to Puck or Sue Sylvester (: 

the rest of her songs aren't that well know so we should probably start with those and then maybe branch out to uncharted or ggoy. but i think these would work. so anyone have any ideas? we should probably make a list of who to tweet, ideas for songs, ideas for Sara guest starring?? and maybe if anyone wants to do a video we can come up with a concept!

or for Love Song you could have it where Will(that's the teacher right?? haha) could ask the glee club to write an "original song" and then one of the characters sing Love Song instead...ya know?

I def like the idea of KoA being sung to Sue Sylvester! :)

or because Finn's future after high school is so uncertain, he could definitely Uncharted!

or Finn could sing Many the Miles to Rachel since she's moving away for college!

I think that Love Song and Uncharted are a bit difficult to cover.  There's not a whole lot of give to either of those songs.  I think Gravity, Gonna Get Over You, King of Anything, would fit really well into the show.  I always like when they change things up a bit, so it'd be cool to even see a mashup of some songs.

great ideas guys! i am going to create a facebook page! but can I get a vote for what song officially we should be trying for? I think probably the most well known songs like love song or king of anything will be the easiest but its up to you. any final thoughts before I create the page?
