Sara Bareilles for Glee

Hey guys so I have a new project/idea for the site. I don't know how many of you watch Glee, but I think Sara Bareilles would be a FABULOUS guest star on Glee! She definitely would fit right in, especially with her NOH8 campaign. Even if she wasn't on, maybe just her music could be featured. When I met her in April, one of the questions I asked was would you want your music on glee? and she was so into that idea. she was talking about how she met all of the cast at the Easter Egg Hunt for the President. I mean, seriously, either her physically or any of her songs would be GREAT on the show. anybody wanna help me out? maybe I can make a Facebook/twitter page or we can go crazy and tweet the people on glee... probably it would be better to tweet the producers first since the cast members have little say in the songs they choose. Or if you guys were really into this, we could even make a video if you want. thoughts anyone? sorry this post was so long. haha lots to say (: excited!

First of all, I think this idea is brilliant! I would LOVE to see one (or many) of Sara's song in Glee! As many of you pointed out, they fit the show in so many different ways.

I thought about which song I would like to see on glee, and I think that "Gonna Get Over You" is the most appropriate one for many reasons. It obviously can be applied to so many different characters on the show, the couples are always breaking up. But most importantly, it would help Sara promote her new single. Even though Love Song and King of Anything are more popular songs, I feel like a lot of the songs played in Glee are not necessarily the most famous ones, but the ones they want to become famous or think will be famous.

My example are the songs from Adele. Glee performed "Rolling in the Deep" right when the song started to boom. And recently they performed "Someone Like You", same thing. Other songs they performed (i.e. Cee-Lo "F*ck You") became famous (or, should I say, a major hit) after it was performed in the show.

That's why I think that Gonna Get Over You should be the song, both from "Glee's" perspective, and from Sara's perspective.

That being said, I would be happy with any song from Sara, really. And I think that if I had to choose a character to sing it, it would probably be Quinn. Her voice is soft and beautiful and although not as powerful as Rachel's or Santana's, it might fit the song better...

I agree. I think it should be "Gonna Get Over You" too just because it's her current single. And I feel it needs some more publicity. I feel like no one (besides us of course) really has payed it any attention.

Yes. I agree. I first thought "King of Anything" would be best, but I agree with you guys. This song is amazing, and it definitely needs to be heard by more people. This could be a great way to do it.

so happy you guys are so enthusiastic!! sounds like a good plan. i think if it doesn't work though, we should try one of her more popular songs like love song or king of anything, only because we may have a better chance since the producers would actually know the song. but it definitely would fit the show. i could see any of the women on the show singing it. so should we leave the hashtag or change it to #sarabareillesgonnagetoveryouforglee?? we have to think about who is best to tweet too. prob the producers
