Hey guys!

Some of you are really interested in Sara's early stuff. So am I. I have talked to Tom, Michael and William and felt like we had to do something. William had a great idea. Let's do a timeline of Sara's career. We are going to do this as a collaboration.

It's very easy. We are going to gather all the information we have in a beautiful timeline that I have created.

You can simply add events, releases, tours...etc. Make sure it is not already in the timeline and that it is legit/accurate. Do not delete other people's contribution ;).

The aim is to put as many interesting things as we can. It is going to take a while, but I am sure the result will be amazing!

So let's get started!

All you have to do is go to http://www.tiki-toki.com/ and login :

login : sarabfans

password : sarabtimeline

Click on "edit" next to the title of the timeline (Sara Bareilles Timeline).

Then you can click on "Admin" (top right corner) and "Create a new story" to add something in the timeline. Choose the right category. Feel free to add new categories if you think it's useful.

You can view the timeline here :

Hey!  I wanted to add some bits, but when I tried, it wouldn't adhere to the format you had and I didn't want to screw everything up.  So here's what I was going to add.

2003

April: Sara releases an independent live album titled "The First One"

October: Sara releases her second independent album titled "The Summer Sessions"

2004

April: Sara plays herself in the independent film "Girlplay" where she sings "Undertow"

2005

May 13: The "Monster-In-Law" soundtrack is released, featuring Bareilles' CC version of "Love On The Rocks"

2007

December 18: A 5-song live session EP is released on iTunes

2008

April(?): Sara Begins her first headlining tour

October 28: Bareilles' first live DVD/CD "Live At The Fillmore" is released

2009

Februrary(?): Sara begins her stripped-down "Gravity Tour"

Feburary(?): "Love Song" is Grammy nominated for Song Of The Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance

November: A live Gravity Tour EP is released for free to Sara's fans on her mailing list

2011

February 7: iTunes releases a "Live From Soho" EP, which was recorded the day her album came out in NYC

August 13: Sara plays at the Indiana State Fair with Sugarland when the stage collapses, killing 7 people and injuring over 40 more.

Nice! I didn't know some of those & then there's the Indy tragedy. ):
But here's one to add.

April 15, 2005: Sara signs onto her record deal with Epic Records.

Oh yes!  This is great!!

Okay, so far I added the dates of her first two demo EP's releases.

From the years '02-'05 I have a lot of the reviews she recieved over those years saved.

When I have the time, I organize & list them onto the timeline we've started.

Side note:  On Sara's own website, on the main page there is a small timeline on the right hand

side listing things she's done recently.  Might help you others out there.

My best,

             Tom

I've seen "interactive timelines" where  you can click on an entry in the graphical timeline and it opens up some link. Maybe we can do something like that to access pictures, reviews, etc.

Would it be helpful if people put down their name or initials after their entry? This way we can go back to our entries and modify  them if necessary.

We would remove them obviously after we are finished.

Clement, I believe the KH Tour started officially on September 28th, 2010. When I saw her, it was the day after (9/29/10) and she said "Saaaan Diego! Welcome to the second tour stop of the Kaleidoscope Heart Tour! You f**king sold out the show!"

I found this website that recommends two cool websites for creating pretty timelines:

http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/2-easy-ways-create-impressive-timeline...

Maybe we can use one of these once/if we want to add photos, videos, etc...

The two websites to create timelines are:

Hey guys!
Thanks for your replies.
I don't have time to write back to you all in details right now, but I really like your ideas.
Ana, the Tiki-Toki website to create a timeline is really great! Maybe we should directly do it with this tool, I'll see.
I'll get back to you soon!

I have just edited the discussion with the new info! we are going to do a real timeline. Tell me if you have any questions.

Hey Clement,

Been adding some stuff to the timeline. I love the software. I think we can do a lot with this. They have a "group edit" function but I think you have to pay for it :(

Yes, I love the software too.
Indeed, there are some other options but they are not free.
I can't wait to see the final timeline! I don't have much time to add stuff these days, but I will.

I've been adding some things here and there to the timeline, but I am not quite sure as to what exactly should go there or not. Whenever I am in doubt, I'm taking the following approach: leave it there for now, and then if we think it's too much information we can delete it in the future. Please let me know if guys see something that you don't think should be there!

It will take a while for us to put everything there but the result will be great :)
