I saw Sara on Tuesday night at the House of Blues in Cleveland, OH. IT WAS SO GOOD. I LOVE HER. AND I GOT TO MEET HER. But let me start from the beginning. We got to Cleveland Tuesday around noon. We went exploring and got to the House Of Blues and went in and asked about lines and stuff. And the girl was super sweet and told us that if we bought dinner in the HOB Restaurant or spent $15 at the store, we could Pass the Line and get in a special line that gets in first. So we spent our money and got out passes. We also ventured around behind HOB to see where her tour bus was for the night and stuff. And we saw Phil walking out but we didn’t say anything because I’m pretty sure we weren’t supposed to be there. But yeah, we went to the restaurant later and ate, and I jumped in line. We were 9th in line! When they let us in, we could have been right up against the barrier in front of Javi, but I wanted to stand in-between her two pianos. So I was second row, our friend was behind me, and my mom was next to her. So second/third row isn’t bad. We met some really cool people in line too, and we talked talked talked about Sara Sara Sara. Fast forward. Raining Jane was super good. We had on flashy necklaces and the drummer, Mona, was like “Those are sweet! They’d be better with something in them!” But apparently she thought they were shot glasses / flasks. And they had a signed CD that they signed for someone else and her boyfriend, but she spelled the boyfriend’s name wrong, so they signed a new CD for them, and Mona was like “We’re not wasting this CD. We’re an independent band!” So it was signed for Kim and the partners name was crossed off. So she was like “I have this CD for a Kim… Is anyone named Kim?” My mothers name is Kim. She was like MEEE! So after the show she gave it to us and took pics. So fast forward to Sara’s show. She is just so fucking good I can’t even handle it. I got lots of video that turned out good. And she read my poster again. And was just overall adorable AND SO GOOD. Best I’ve ever seen her, and she was still a little sick. So after the show I waited to snag a set-list AND I FUCKING GOT ONE. I just felt so accomplished. Then I bought my I <3 Sara F*cking Bareilles shirt while my mom was waiting in the RJ line for the CD. Out of the corner of my eye I see Javi and Josh just standing in the lobby talking to some people. So I went and talked to them and Josh is just such a cool guy. Tuesday was his birthday. We yelled Happy Birthday at him in the parking lot earlier too, And then sang it to him on stage. And said it more times. So they signed my set-list. The night could have been over and I still would have been over the moon, but we waited to meet Sara. 2 hours later - out comes Sara being all cute. I’m panicking at this point because I’ve never really met any big celebrities like Sara before… There was a pretty large group of people, and from what I gathered, her tour manager is a butt-face so everything was kind of sign - picture - hug - next… But Sara was so sweet. She signed the poster I made, my KH CD and my set-list. And a picture. She wrote I LOVE YOU! on it. So… needless to say our wedding is next week… And it was just a glorious night. I left with so many signed things between RJ and SB. It was super exciting.
